Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern access to and use of Champaign County Released Inmates. By browsing, following a link, or using a tool presented here, a visitor agrees to these conditions. Anyone who does not accept them should stop using the site. The terms apply alongside any separate rules imposed by an outside search provider, government portal, or other linked service.

Champaign County Released Inmates is privately owned and has no affiliation with Champaign County, Tri-County Regional Jail, any sheriff, court, government body, jail, or corrections department. Neither this site nor its advertising partners provides a service covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Information cannot be used for credit, employment, insurance, housing, or tenant screening. The site is a public-record resource locator for Champaign County and Ohio, not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

Nature of This Service

Champaign County Released Inmates is a private reference site. It does not store official jail, court, DRC, BOP, ICE, VINE, parole, or probation records. It cannot confirm a person’s custody status, order or carry out a release, alter an official record, file a request for a visitor, or provide government services.

The site points visitors toward agencies and portals that may hold release and custody information. It may also connect visitors with third-party research tools. Those outside entities remain responsible for their own records, services, policies, and responses.

Acceptable Use Rules

Use of the site must remain lawful and must not interfere with other visitors or systems. A visitor agrees not to:

  • Violate any local, Ohio, federal, or other applicable law
  • Use information to stalk, threaten, intimidate, or harass anyone
  • Use content for employment, housing, lending, insurance, or tenant decisions
  • Attempt to enter accounts, servers, or areas without authorization
  • Run automated bots, crawlers, scrapers, or bulk extraction tools
  • Damage, overload, disable, or disrupt the site or another visitor’s access

No Consumer Reporting Services

Champaign County Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It supplies no background check, credit report, or consumer report. Its advertising and search partners do not provide screening services through this site. Visitors agree not to use site content or linked results for:

  • Hiring, firing, promotion, or other employment decisions
  • Rental, housing, or tenant-screening decisions
  • Creditworthiness, lending, or insurance-premium decisions
  • Licensing, permits, or government-benefit eligibility where the FCRA applies
  • Any other eligibility or screening purpose regulated by the FCRA

External Links and Providers

Links may lead to release records, sheriff and corrections resources, court portals, Ohio DRC, federal or immigration systems, legal-aid resources, advertising partners, and private search services. A link is offered for convenience and does not endorse the destination. Champaign County Released Inmates is not responsible for an outside service’s content, accuracy, availability, security, or handling of data. Visitors should review the destination’s own terms and privacy policy.

No Warranties

The site and all content are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest degree permitted by law, no express or implied warranty is made about:

  • The accuracy, completeness, or current status of any information
  • Continuous or uninterrupted access
  • The absence of mistakes, software defects, or security weaknesses
  • The scope, completeness, or usefulness of a partner’s search results

Custody status, court entries, supervision, and public-record access can change quickly. Nothing published here is an official statement from Tri-County Regional Jail, the Champaign County Sheriff, Ohio DRC, a court, or another government body. Verify information with the office that created it.

Limits of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by applicable law, Champaign County Released Inmates and its owners, operators, contributors, and partners will not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive loss arising from access to, inability to access, or reliance on the site, its content, a linked destination, or a partner tool.

Your Duty to Indemnify

A visitor agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Champaign County Released Inmates, its owners, operators, contributors, and partners from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and reasonable legal fees caused by that visitor’s use of the site, misuse of information, violation of law, infringement of another person’s rights, or breach of these terms.

Ownership of Site Materials

Unless a separate attribution states otherwise, the site’s original text, graphics, logos, arrangement, and code belong to Champaign County Released Inmates or its content partners. No one may reproduce, distribute, republish, sell, alter, or create derivative works from those materials without prior written permission. Government records and third-party materials remain subject to their own ownership and use rules.

Revisions to These Terms

These terms may be amended at any time to reflect changes in the service, law, or operating practices. A revised version becomes effective when posted on this page. Continued use after posting constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Suspension or Loss of Access

Access to all or part of the site may be restricted, suspended, or ended at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice. This right includes action taken to address suspected misuse, security concerns, legal requirements, service changes, or conduct that affects other visitors.

Ohio Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to rules that would select another jurisdiction’s law. Any dispute concerning these terms or the site must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Ohio.

Severability

If a court with authority finds any provision invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or adjusted only as much as necessary. Every remaining provision continues in effect.
