Why This Resource Exists
Ohio makes many government records available, but a released person may no longer appear on the roster that was useful during confinement. Champaign County adds a local wrinkle because Tri-County Regional Jail serves three counties and is separate from the Champaign County Sheriff. The jail may hold the booking and release sheet, while the sheriff and courts may hold related arrest, incident, and case records.
This site brings those paths into one organized reference. Local jail release questions begin with Tri-County records and Champaign court entries. Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction records cover state prisoners and may show a Released or APA Supervision status, release information, and an offender photograph. Parole and probation sources address ongoing supervision. Federal prison releases belong in the Bureau of Prisons system. Each source answers a different question, so one missing roster result should never stand in for a confirmed release event.
Resources Included Here
The site is arranged around the records and official systems that apply to Champaign County release questions:
- The home page combines the full released-person search path with instructions for obtaining a local release record.
- The Inmate Release Date, VINELink Release Check, and Parole / Probation pages explain dates, notifications, and supervision.
- Separate facility pages distinguish Tri-County, West Central Community Correctional Facility, Ohio DRC institutions, and federal BOP facilities.
- Recent-release pages explain how to request exact 24-hour or 72-hour intervals because no official Champaign feed publishes those windows.
- Records guidance identifies booking and release fields, booking-photo requests, and the role of Ohio public-record law without promising a set fee or response time.
The distinctions are intentional. A transfer from Tri-County into ODRC is not community release. WCCCF is a residential community-control placement, not the county booking jail. A BOP result covers federal custody and does not establish what happened in a local case.

Search Partner Disclosure
Some pages contain search boxes supplied by third-party providers. Those companies control their own results, data practices, signup terms, and prices. If a search tool leads to a paid service, Champaign County Released Inmates may receive a referral fee. That support helps keep the site's general reference material available without charge. A referral does not make the third-party result an official jail, court, or corrections record, and this site does not set or control the provider's fees or output.
