Queries Sent to Search Partners
A name, location, or other term entered in an embedded public-record search is sent directly to the third-party provider that operates the tool. Champaign County Released Inmates does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider may process the query under its separate privacy terms.
Messages Sent to Us
Information in an email or contact submission is kept as needed to read the request, prepare a response, and maintain the related correspondence. A message is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law or a valid legal process.
Automatic Technical Information
Ordinary web systems can record technical and usage details when a page loads. This data helps operate the site and understand general traffic patterns. It may include:
- The visitor’s Internet Protocol address
- Browser name and version
- Device category and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring website, when supplied
- Date and time stamps for requests

Advertising providers may use technology on their own systems to recognize activity across websites and select interest-based advertising. Their collection and processing occur under their own policies, not as records stored directly by this site.

Personal information is not sold. Depending on the feature used, information may still be received or processed by:
- Search partners that receive and answer submitted queries

- Advertising networks that deliver and assess advertisements
- Law-enforcement agencies or other government bodies responding to a valid subpoena, court order, or comparable legal demand
Reasonable Security Measures
Standard administrative and technical practices are used to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No website, network, or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed fully secure. Champaign County Released Inmates therefore cannot promise that information will never be intercepted, exposed, or compromised.
Visitors Under Eighteen
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly request or collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted personal information may use the Contacts page to request review and deletion.
Privacy Choices and Requests
Subject to applicable law and the ability to verify a request, a visitor may ask to:
- Receive a copy of personal information held about them
- Correct personal information that is inaccurate
- Delete personal information where erasure is available
- Opt out of certain forms of processing when that right applies
These requests concern information controlled by Champaign County Released Inmates. Official jail, court, DRC, VINE, and third-party search records remain under the control and policies of their creators.
